DATED 1791
Converted from miquelet-lock, with two-stage barrel with gold fore-sight and chiselled girdle picked out with gold dots, and elaborately decorated in silver and gold throughout its length with human figures, birds, animals, putti, serpents, trees, architectural motifs, inscriptions, and the date, the octagonal breech with silver-inlaid panels engraved with running flowers and foliage and struck with six gold-lined marks, two of them the punzónes of Domingo Olave, chiselled and gilt grooved tang, border engraved lock inscribed 'En Tanine' and with indistinct gold-lined mark and gold-inlaid hammer, lightly carved figured walnut three-quarter stock (repaired) with Catalan-style butt, iron mounts comprising solid side-plate embossed with interlaced scrollwork against a punched ground enriched with gold dots, and inlaid with a silver plaque engraved with a coat-of-arms surmounted by a plumed helm, trigger-guard pierced and chiselled with foliage, and silver-inlaid butt-plate, silver barrel-bolts each set in an engraved silver band, and horn-tipped ramrod
