With etched twist barrels, the upper barrels with silver fore-sight and gold-inlaid rib with gold signature, with two gold bands and a single silver band at each breech, and with gold-inlaid scroll engraved patent breeches chiselled with an eagle in relief at the centre, the detachable lower barrels each secured by a threaded bolt and each with scroll engraved patent breech, long gold-inlaid scroll engraved tang with square escutcheon above a chiselled standing figure of Diana, signed gold-inlaid scroll engraved back-action locks chiselled in relief with a wolf and a pointer respectively, each hammer with spring-loaded pivoting striker, butt of light-coloured knotted willow with cheek-piece and chequered grip, iron mounts en suite with the locks, the trigger-guard chiselled with a fox and with a grip safety-catch in the tang, the butt-plate chiselled with a sportsman holding a crossbow in a mountainous landscape, etched twist ramrod-pipes, and wooden ramrod with white-metal mounts, Liège proof 30¾in. barrels
