With reblued swamped octagonal sighted barrel cut with eight grooves and with stamped signature on the underside, folding back-sight with reblued pierced finial, and later false breech, flat bevelled lock stepped fore and aft and with internal wheel, the plate engraved with a stag-hunt in a wooded landscape against a punched ground, the cock engraved with a marine monster, and the bridle to the cock-spring with an expanded flower, moulded walnut full stock (old repairs) with fluted fore-end, the butt inlaid with oval medallions of stained wood within a staghorn line and in turn inlaid with scenes of the chase in pierced and engraved silver sheet, fluted patch-box cover inlaid with burr-wood and bands of light and dark horn, light and dark horn side-nail washers and fore-end cap, the rear ramrod-pipe en suite (forward ramrod pipe a contemporary iron replacement), indented flat iron trigger-guard, set trigger, dark horn butt-plate (partly replaced) with iron button, and associated horn-tipped ramrod
