With swamped octagonal sighted barrel cut with seven grooves, stamped with the number 1 behind the back-sight, and with brass-lined touch-hole, rounded lock engraved with scrolling foliage terminating in a bird and a monster-head, moulded walnut full stock, iron mounts including trigger-guard with baluster turns and foliate finial, and faceted side-plate, the butt with cheek-piece and sliding patch-box cover, set trigger, horn fore-end cap, turned iron ramrod-pipes, and later horn-tipped ramrod
