With massive brass barrel with reinforcing ring at the shaped belled muzzle, the breech struck with numerous small fleur-de-lys marks and with grooved ramp at the rear, plain iron tang, flat bevelled lock retained by three dome-headed side-nails and engraved with strawberry foliage (steel probably associated), the dog catch in the form of a bird's head, walnut full stock (fore-stock an old replacement) carved with a wheat-ear design behind the barrel tang, plain iron trigger-guard and heel-plate, single brass ramrod-pipe, and wooden ramrod with worm, London proof marks
