With rebrowned twist sighted barrels signed in full in gothic script on the rib, recessed patent breeches with two pairs of gold lines and platinum-lined touch-holes, grooved tang engraved with foliage, signed and engraved stepped bevelled locks each with large roller and V-shaped patent rainproof pan, pierced engraved cocks (one top jaw and screw replaced), figured walnut half-stock, cheek-piece, chequered grip, iron mounts engraved with foliage, silver escutcheon and barrel-bolt escutcheons, and original iron- and brass-mounted ramrod: in original fitted mahogany case lined in blue velvet, with accessories including leather shot-belt and Sykes copper powder-flask engraved 'Joseph Hope, Whooff House', the lid with flush-fitting carrying handle, London proof marks
