With three-stage barrel, plain tang, rounded lock struck on the inside with a mark, figured walnut full stock (fore-end a working replacement, minor splits) with raised apron around the barrel tang, cast and chased mounts comprising serpentine side-plate, pierced foliate escutcheon with grotesque mask above, spurred pommel with grotesque mask cap and engraved with strawberry foliage (rubbed), trigger-guard engraved with a bird, and baluster ramrod-pipes, and original brass-capped ramrod
