A CASED PAIR OF 70-BORE D.B. FLINTLOCK CARRIAGE PISTOLS

With rebrowned octagonal barrels with silver fore-sight and engraved 'Charing Cross London' on the rib, gold-lined touch-holes, engraved grooved tang, signed engraved bevelled locks each with stepped tail, safety-catch, roller, and semi-rainproof pan (one cock repaired), figured walnut half-stocks, deeply chequered 'Catalan'-style butts, engraved blued iron mounts including spur trigger-guards, and butt-caps engraved 'Prosser 1805', silver escutcheons and barrel-bolt escutcheons, horn-tipped ramrods, one with worm, and some original finish: in original lined and fitted mahogany case with accessories including three-way flask covered in red leather, the lid with trade label and flush-fitting carrying handle, London proof marks 15in.
