A CASED 17-BORE OVER-AND-UNDER FLINTLOCK OFFICER'S PISTOL

With browned twist barrels each with gold lines at the breech and platinum-lined touch-hole, the upper barrel sighted and signed in gold, the lower one engraved 'No 1, Piccadilly, London', engraved case-hardened tang incorporating a back-sight, signed engraved case-hardened locks each with blued external mainspring, roller, rainproof pan, and 'French' cock with blued top jaw and screw, finely figured chequered walnut butt, engraved blued iron mounts, silver escutcheon, blued triggers, blued iron ramrod with chequered tip, and nearly all its original finish throughout, with attachable skeleton shoulder stock (replaced?): in original lined and fitted mahogany case with accessories including three-way flask covered in red leather, the lid with trade label and flush-fitting carrying handle engraved 'George Drummond Esq.re'
