Lot Essay

A companion pair of pistols was sold in these Rooms on 30 April 1986, lot 205. Each pair was presumably sent to James Wilkinson & Son for attention, as both cases were fitted with a Wilkinson label on top of the original Mortimer label (in the case of the present pistols retained in damaged condition)
