Lot Essay

Champin was a watercolourist who lithographer and was taught by Storelli and A. Regnier. He exhibited regularly at the Paris Salon between 1819 and 1859 gaining a first class medal in 1831. He published a number of sets of prints including, Les Habitations des personnages célèbres, done in collaboration with Regmer and Paris Historique, with an accompanying text by Charles Nodier.
