Rectangular and set on four later wood feet, with a domed hinged cover applied on the exterior with large shagreen panels within geometric borders of inlaid mother-of-pearl and black and gold lacquer, the interior of the cover black lacquer with gold hiramaki-e flowers, the lower interior black lacquer; copper fittings
