Meiji Period (late 19th century), gilt mark Seisai, blue enamel Shimazu crest
Painted in polychrome enamels and gilt over a clear crackled glaze with a pair of peacocks perched on the branch of a maple tree with leaves in autumnal colors within gilded cloud borders, chrysanthemums in bloom around the trunk, the lip decorated in cobalt blue and gilt
