Four prints, the first, a young woman on her way to the bath, pausing before a fallen kite below an inset in black and white of a willow tree, entitled Yanagi bantsuzuki "Willow set," and subtitled Yanagi yu "Yanagi (willow) bath house," signed Go Hokkei, poem by Senryutei Ichiyo; the second, a cockerel on a drum and ivy leaves, signed Aoigaoka Hokkei, greenish grey ground; the third, a beauty seated by a brazier, holding a teacup in one hand and a pair of metal tongs in the other, a samisen behind her on the floor, titled Sakura no hana (Cherry blossoms), represented by the florets decorating the background, from the series Katsushika goban haru no akebonosome (A set of five for the Katsushika group: the dawn of spring); the fourth, a surimono after Gakutei of a beauty seated with a Chinese boy doll, "Hotei" from the series Mitate shichifukujin (A parody of the seven gods of good fortune)--generally good impressions, slightly faded, silver embellishments and light soil at edges on first and third
