Oval and with two leaf-capped gadrooned handles and gadrooned border, the centre engraved with a coat-of-arms within foliage mantling, marked on reverse

The arms are those of Ford for Sir Francis Ford 2nd Bt. (1787-1839), who succeeded his father on the latter's death in 1801. Sir Francis later married Eliza, daugher of Henry Brady Esq. of Limerick
