A fine association piece, presented to Wagner by his disciples involved in the first performance of the Ring. Anton Seidl (1850-1898) assisted Wagner in the preparation of the score and the first complete performance of the Ring and later paved the way for the recognition of Wagner's music in the United States. Emerich Kastner (1847-1916) studied the piano with Liszt before devoting himself to furthering Wagner's cause and Herman Zumpe (1850-1903) was brought to Bayreuth by Wagner to assist in the completion of the Ring score.
