The shape and carving of this chair is very similar to a suite by Louis Delanois in the Collection of the Baron d'Etchegoyen, Paris, illustrated S. Eriksen, Louis Delanois, Paris, 1968, pl. XX. The distinctive heart-shaped cartouche was also much used by the Tilliard family of menuisiers.
