A fine collection of what appear to be early or proof impressions of a selection of pillars, cornices and capitals. The majority correspond to plates published under the title Architettura con diversi ornamenti cavati dall' antico in Rome in 1636 [Fowler 200]. A number of the plates show significant variation from the published versions, and shed some light on the methods of working of 17th-century engravers.
