The case inlaid overall with seaweed marquetry inhabited with birds and other figures, the plinth with concave outswept moulding on bun feet, rectangular trunk door with later brass mount to the lenticle, the hood with pierced wood sound frets to the caddy top and with glazed sides, the dial signed Lambertus Pergieu Fecti Parmerendae on the silvered chapter ring with matted centre and pierced brass hands (minute hand restored), seasonal spandrels, lacking alarm disc, the movement with four baluster-form pillars, anchor escapement and rack strike on bell, alarm train lacking; associated and with restorations
