The Rescue:
Off Galloper Sands, Harwich, Essex on 12.12.1891: In a very heavy sea during a strong northerly gale, the Glasgow-registered Enterkin was wrecked on Galloper Sands. Captain Watson of the Smack Britain's Pride, and his crew, were able to save an Apprentice from the wreck.

The Vessel:
The steel-hulled full-rigged ship Enterkin, 1698 tons, was built by Duncan's at Port Glasgow in 1889 and was owned and registered in Glasgow by T.G. Guthrie.
