The Coronet Midget camera was introduced in 1935 in four colours: black, walnut, green and rose. The range was extended with the addition of a blue model, which was produced in smaller numbers than the original range. Although official production was limited to five colours variations in the Bakelite colouring process mean that collectors recognise additional colouring variants.

Variations occured in the front plate design of the camera and fixtures to be found on the camera as detailed by the Russells. The camera was also produced as a promotion (see lot 218).
