A PORCELAIN MILITARY PLATE

BY THE IMPERIAL PORCELAIN FACTORY, PERIOD OF NICHOLAS I, 1830

The centre painted with a military scene of the Imperial Guard Fleet, the gilt ciselé borders embellished with oak and laurel leaves, with military trophies at intervals, inscribed on the reverse 'Officier-Superieur et Subalterne de l'Equipage des Marins de la Garde, P. Saveliev, 1830', marked on the base 9 3/8in. (24cm.) diam.
