AN UNUSUAL PAIR OF GERMAN PERCUSSION TARGET PISTOLS fitted with browned Indonesian barrels each with three panels of relief decoration picked out in silver, sighted and polygroove rifled, engraved case-hardened breeches and tangs, signed case-hardened locks engraved with scrollwork and a monster's head, walnut full stocks carved in relief around the pommels, engraved case-hardened iron mounts, set triggers, horn fore-end caps, and original horn-tipped ramrods, the chequered butts each cut to recieve a shoulder stock, the apertures each with iron cover inset with the crest of Salm in silver and gilt, by Adam Rosen in Dyck, circa 1830
