INDENTWarrant Officer Alfred Douglas Everitt served with 235 (Blenheims) Squadron and from 1 July 1940 to June 1941 (Sgt.) logged some 74 sorties, mostly escort to naval units and other aircraft but including -- Local fighter patrol, Thorney Island 26/27 August 1940 and various sweeps -- 39 of these sorties were made during the 'Battle of Britain' period 10 July to 31 October 1940; (Everitt is listed on the roll of those officially entitled to the bar); he left the R.A.F. as a Warrant Officer and died in 1953
