INDENTCaptain John Griffith served with the 12th Light Dragoons as Regimental Sergeant Major in Egypt 1801, and was wounded in the left thigh, 21 March; served in the Peninsula from July 1812; Cornet and Adjutant, 29th July 1813; Lieutenant, May 1815; Adjutant, 5th Dragoon Guards, April 1823; Lieutenant 28 Foot, 15 October 1829; Captain, 1st West India Regiment, 28 June 1839; retired on full-pay 1846; Captain Griffith died 1859
