manuscript on polished buff paper, 320ff. plus four flyleaves, each with 15ll. of fine black naskh, punctuation in red, gold roundels between verses, gold margin between black rules, blue outer rule, textual divisions marked in the margin in red and by gold and polychrome medallions, occasional marginal notes in red, sura headings in white on gold cartouches within illuminated gold and polychrome panels, (some smudging and repairs), gold and polychrome illuminated opening double folio (minor damages), contemporary maroon morocco binding with finely tooled gold decoration (restored)
