Musa b. 'Isa al-Damiri and dated 16th Jumada I 818, gilt tooled Mamluk brown morocco binding with stamped leather doublures (restored)

A very early copy of this text, completed only ten years after the author's death. The colophon states that this copy was made from a revised and corrected holograph copy. It also notes that it was prepared for a ruler or noble, probably in Turkey.

The title page and flyleaves have a number of subsequent reading and ownership endorsements, the earliest of which is dated AH 824/1421-2 AD, written in Arabia or Turkey.
