A George III mahogany longcase clock, the flame veneered cross- banded case on bracket feet with brass lined reeded ¼-columns to the arched trunk door, similar detatched brass capped columns to the hood supporting the swan-neck pediment with foliate brass terminals, the painted dial signed Jon. Smith Pittenweem with subsidiary seconds ring and calandar aperture, well pierced steel hands, florally painted spandrels in the ach, four-pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement
