A George III Scottish mahogany longcase clock, the boxwood lined case on bracket feet, flame veneered shaped trunk door flanked by gilt metal Corinthian capped and reeded ¼-columns, similiar detatched columns to the hood supporting the swan-neck pediment with brass rosette terminals and satinwood inlaid frieze, the arched silvered engraved dial signed Alex Anderson Dunbar within foliate engraving, Roman and Arabic chapter ring with similarly engraved center having subsidiary seconds ring and calendar aperture, black painted pierced brass hands, the four-pillar movement with anchor escapement, the strike train removed with only the barrel remaining
