An unusual childrens game comprising a 'sphere terrestre' by R.Barbot, diameter 5 ½ inches (14cm), overall height 11 inches (28 cm), published for the Ministere de l'Instruction Publique. The equatorial circle decorated with the paper flags of 24 nations, each on metal pins, the globe on a Paris prime meridian with the tracks of the principal steamship routes, mounted on an ebonised wooden stand with metal pointer set into the support. Contained in its original box with an instruction sheet, and 22 (of 24) 'flag' playing cards.
