A terrestrial table globe, diameter 12 inches (31cm), overall height 17 1/2 inches (44cm). Two sets of 12 hand-coloured engraved gores, marking the tracks of Cook's voyages (crack along equatorial circle, one small hole, a few abrasions). Metal pinions, brass hour and meridian circles, graduated on one face. hand-coloured engraved horizon bar with calendar and zodiac scales (rubbed), mounted on four ebonised baluster turned supports, cross stretchers supporting centrepost (stand repaired).
