A PAIR OF MEISSEN ROCOCO-SCROLL-MOULDED POT-POURRI VASES AND PIERCED COVERS with cone-shaped flower and leaf finials, the bodies painted outside the factory on the fronts and backs with loose bouquets within cartouches of flowerheads and fruit applied in high relief, each modelled with a cherub below leaf-moulded loop handles entwined with flowers, fruit and butterflies, the flared scroll-moulded stems applied with semi-naked reclining figures beside baskets of flowers, one with a maiden, the other with a putto, the moulded details enriched in turquoise and gilding (both restored, maiden's left foot lacking), cancelled blue crossed swords marks, incised BC and painted numbers 10, circa 1860
