The floral trails and unusual combination of upspringing palm-leaves and cabochons to the legs of these consoles in the French manner are inspired by the more rococo creations of Joseph Deibel (1716 - 1763), Hofbildhauer (Court Sculptor) in Dresden (see: Gisela Haase, Dresdener Möbel des 18. Jahrunderts, Leipzig, 1983, figs. 134-6)
