ANOTHER PAIR, with blued octagonal rifled sighted barrels signed in Gothic script 'F. p. Ed. Lefaure Bté. à Paris', the case-hardened breech tangs and breeches numbered 1 and 2 in gold within gold ovals and engraved with vines, the locks and mounts decorated en suite and retaining their original dull grey finish, the former (hammers repaired) engraved with rabbits, the latter including spurred trigger-guards engraved with a stag, and baluster pommels, figured walnut half-stocks carved with vines in relief against a stippled ground, chequered butts, and nearly all their original finish: in original lined and fitted mahogany case with full accessories, the lid signed in gilt letters on the inside and with brass shield-shaped escutcheon engraved with owner's initials, No.702, circa 1850
