ANOTHER PAIR, with etched twist octagonal rifled sighted barrels inscribed in silver Gothic script 'Damas Turc', the case-hardened breech tangs and breeches numbered 1 and 2 in gold and engraved with foliage, the locks and mounts engraved en suite and retaining their original dull grey finish, figured walnut half-stocks carved with foliage in relief against a stippled ground on the fore-ends and fluted butts, and set triggers: in original fitted brass-mounted rosewood veneered case lined in red velvet with full accessories, the lid with vacant brass escutcheon, St. Etienne proof marks, circa 1850
