A PAIR OF FLINTLOCK DUELLING PISTOLS, reconverted from percussion, with rebrowned twist octagonal sighted barrels each with silver fore-sight and crowned gold-lined maker's stamp at the breech within three gold-lined fleurs-de-lys, gold double lines and vents, engraved tangs, signed bevelled locks engraved on the tail and with rollers and safety-catches, figured walnut half-stocks, engraved steel mounts retaining some original blued finish, pineapple chequered butts (cracked), gold escutcheons engraved with owner's crest and initials WG, set triggers, and original horn-tipped ramrods: in lined and fitted mahogany case with some accessories, and Joseph Egg trade label, by Durs Egg, London, circa 1780-90
