The inset tablet-shaped top within a flowerhead-decorated rim with laurel-band and on eight column supports, joined by a conforming stretcher and on turned tapering legs terminating in brass caps and casters

Lot Essay
A nearly identical centre table with scagliola table top, slightly smaller than this table and attributed to Martin-Guillaume Biennais, was sold anonymously at Sotheby's New York, 19 November 1993, lot 69.
