A GERMAN FLINTLOCK FOWLING-PIECE with two-stage sighted barrel inlaid with silver on the breech, at the intersection, and around the fore-sight, flat bevelled lock engraved with a staghunt, moulded lightly carved walnut half-stock (reduced from full), brass mounts engraved with strapwork and foliage involving, on the butt-plate, a lion beset by hounds, and on the trigger-guard (repaired) the figure of Diana, brass side-nail washers, faceted brass ramrod-pipes, and wooden ramrod (in worn condition, butt wormed), unsigned, circa 1720-30
