A GERMAN SABRE with heavy single-edged blade chamfered and engraved with a design of running foliage along the back on each face, brass stirrup hilt with lobed-shaped rear quillon, the pommel formed as a monster's head, and wooden leather-covered wire-bound grip (binding incomplete), in wooden brass-mounted scabbard (split) covered with green shagreen (damaged), mid-18th Century; a German broadsword with tapering blade (associated) of flattened-diamond section struck on the tang with a mark, iron hilt with half-basket guard of slender bars (one missing), each with a double gourd-shaped central feature, involving double assymmetrical side-rings (one broken) framing plates (one missing) embossed with fruit and foliage, thumb-ring, compressed pommel, and wire-bound wooden grip (associated), late 17th Century; a Kabyle flyssa of characteristic form, with single-edged blade inlaid with engraved brass strips and panels, and brass and iron hilt with pommel of animal-head shape, engraved throughout with geometric patterns, in iron-mounted chip-carved wooden scabbard, 18th/19th Century; and three sabre scabbards, all 19th Century
