The ear-shaped handles with gilt foliage terminals, each painted with birds in flight within shaped cartouches edged with gilt trailing flowers below gilt dentil rims, the saucers similarly painted within circular cartouches (slight flaking and rubbing to the gilding of the second coffee-can, minute chip to the rim of one saucer, very minor gilded chip to the rim of the other) (2)
