Two Meissen models of doves
Circa 1740, traces of blue crossed sword mark to base of one, both with Pressnummer 45
Both with finely incised plumage, one modelled slightly to the right with brown markings and a dark-brown beak, the other to the left with its head turned towards its tail, with black and brown markings and a pale ochre beak, both with striped red feet and seated on oval mound bases, one applied with coloured foliage (the first with restoration to the tail and beak and with one claw lacking, the end of the second's beak a restored replacement)
