A pair of Meissen models of pug-dogs
Circa 1745, one with blue crossed swords mark
Modelled by J.J. Kändler, seated on their haunches to left and right with naturally coloured brown coats with black muzzles and tails their gilt-edged collars with a turquoise and yellow rosette, on rectangular gilt-tasselled pink cushions with puce and gilt scrolling foliage (one with slight chip and crack to base, both with minute chipping to ears)
