Circa 1745, blue crossed swords mark at back
Modelled by J.J. Kändler, the grey animal seated on its haunches and chained by a gilt chain to an apple tree, on a shaped rockwork base applied with coloured flowers and foliage (repairs and restorations to tree and monkey's right forearm and hand, crack to base of tail, chip to ring of chain, extended crack through base and chips to foliage)
