A LARGE SULTANABAD POTTERY DISH with rounded cavetto and everted sloping rim on short foot, the interior painted in grey and black with dense leafy motifs around two seated deer, a simurgh flying overhead, in a broad border spreading over the cavetto and rim of similar leafy panels containing simurghs alternating with tree-shaped similar panels, the exterior with a band of slim arcades containing linked dotted motifs, 14th century (repaired, small areas of restoration)
