A SAFAVID ARMENIAN BRASS BOWL with rounded sides slightly recurved to the vertical rim, the exterior engraved with cusped cartouches containing palmettes and scrolling vine alternating with cypress trees containing similar motifs, linked by a meandering rope-pattern strand, a broad band around the rim with interlaced arabesques interrupted by a brief Armenian majuscule inscription, a band of palmette panels below, 17th century (slightly rubbed, one hole disguised on the exterior by an applied coin, two other similar applied coins)
