A QAJAR SILVER UPPER SECTION OF A NARGILEH with elegant ogival domed base and narrow neck with band below the widening cylindrical bowl with flaring rim and hinged ogival domed cover, the tubular socket rising in the form of a serpent's head from the base, the plain silver ground inset with gold cusped ogival panels each finely enamelled with floral motifs and perching birds, similar serrated panels around the top of the base and cover, the knop formed by a green faceted glass bead, mid 19th century (slight damage to enamel and to gold overlay)
