These mirrored panels were originally made for wall decoration, usually accompanied by decorative plasterwork. Each consists of two thin plates of glass, with the design painted onto the reverse of the upper plate, while the rear plate remains undecorated. These examples are of unusually good quality of drawing and brightness of colouring.
