manuscript on buff paper, 147ff. plus two flyleaves, each with approx. 29ll. of minute black-brown naskh, gold markings between verses, gold and red margins within black rules, sura headings in white on gold cartouches within blue and red panels, (negligible smudging, possible retouching), opening double folio finely illuminated in red, black, blue and gold, colophon at end signed by Hajji Mahmoud and dated 1087, brown morocco binding with stamped hexagonal medallion, in a silver case engraved with inscriptions
