including an iris, roses and violets, three with a bird and one with a butterfly, watercolour on cream paper, each finely painted spray or plant rising from a clump, (negligible flaking), four with the name of the artist written in small nasta'liq, two of which can be deciphered as 'Hadi Arshadi(?), 1167(1753-4 AD)' and 'raqam al-Sayyed Farhat(?) Shirazi', mounted on black, blue, green, gold and purple card respectively (minor scuffing)

Lot Essay

Despite the differing dates of execution the five paintings have typical Qajar nineteenth century mounts.
