INDENTSecond Lieutenant Keith Foster Gibson from Wallasey, born 1879, enlisted 22 May 1916, went overseas with the 2/10th Bn. 18 February, 1917 and was present at Estaires, Bosigrenene, Ypres and Armentières; was commissioned 26 June 1918

Lieutenant J.H. Stowell enlisted 8 May, 1916, commissioned 1 March, 1917 sent overseas with 2/10th Bn. 9 April; is shown in Bn. diary as Lewis Gun Officer, training an American Bn. 1 May, 1918; promoted Lieutenant September, 1918

356235 Private Frank Griffiths Evans, born Rock Ferry, Cheshire, joined the 10th Bn. 29 May, 1915 and was killed in action 15 February, 1917 (see interesting extract from Regimental History, with pair)

356793 Private Frank Roberts, born, lived and enlisted in Liverpool, joined the King's Liverpools, 1915 and left Blackpool for France, 30 March, 1916; joined 1/10th Bn. and served as Bn. Bomber; transferred to base 29 July, 1916 because he was under-age - transferred to England 20 October. Returned to the Western Front. Private Roberts was killed in action at Epéhy 30 November 1917 and is commemorated on the Cambrai Memorial

357454 (6575) Private Ernest Treen Stevenson attested 20 March, 1916 and was killed in action in the famous 2/10th Bn. raid known as "Dickie's Dash" at Bois Grenier, 29 June, 1917, "... in these raids it is usual to remove all marks of distinction ... all men leave behind their badges, papers and identification discs." (Contemporary note with group refers). Private Stevenson was buried in Pont Du Hess Military Cemetery, La Gorque

357908 Private James William Swann, born Glossop, Derby, joined the 3/10th Bn., went to France 19 August, 1916 and was wounded two months later; he rejoined his platoon 14 October, 1917 and was killed in action 30 November during the German counter-offensive at Cambrai - all of his Company were also virtually wiped out in this action
